I’m Simin
I’m a Product Designer at Fairstone bank, who lives in Montreal, Canada. I embrace human-centered design and have a love for simplicity.
I have been designing experiences, studying users, and working with multidisciplinary teams on delivering elegant solutions since 2015. Prior to joining Fairstone, I worked across diverse environments—from early-stage startups and a healthcare world’s leading manufacturer to education and freelancing. With a background in architecture, I have practiced a journey of perseverance and persistence to constantly work toward what I’m passionate about.
These experiences have awarded me opportunities to work closely with customers, engineers, stakeholders, and trained me how to approach complex problems with solutions that drive business goals while empowering users.

I proactively seek feedback
I never shy away from asking for feedback on my work, have retrospective conversations with my stakeholders and eagerly welcome advice.
I always sharpen the axe first
I promptly seek out people to talk to and ask questions in order to gain clarity and figure things out. What I don't know, I learn fast.
I adapt the situation
I have learnt to forgo the ideal design process. I embrace the situation on its present merits and solve problems with the what's at hand. I see constraints as a friend, not as an enemy.
